Connecticut Chapter

  • Our chapter leveraged momentum from the Ice Bucket Challenge with outreach to key partners in healthcare and the VA medical system to increase the number of individuals served from 250 in 2014 to 375 in 2018. Since 2014, we have added 2 full time employees to our care services team to meet the needs of families in our region, and expanded our loan closet to include motorized wheelchairs, sit to stand lifts, custom ramp installation and iPads equipped with applications to assist with communication. We now offer 7 support groups across the state and online. In 2018, we added a new ALSA Certified Center of Excellence at the VA West Haven.

Many thanks to everyone who donated to the Ice Bucket Challenge, and who continue to support our mission. We could not do this without you!

Challenge Me to Empower People Living with ALS
