Northern New England Chapter

  • Funds received from the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in 2014 allowed the Northern New England Chapter to significantly increase assistance and services to people with ALS and their families in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Through the generosity of donors in the community and the awareness generated by the challenge, the chapter created a new bereavement program as well as a new program for caregivers to receive “hands-on” training in the care of people with ALS. Additionally, the chapter added a fourth ALS-specific multidisciplinary care center in the area at Dartmouth-Hitchcock ALS Clinic in Manchester, New Hampshire, to address the unique healthcare needs of individuals living with ALS.

Many thanks to everyone who donated to the Ice Bucket Challenge, and who continue to support our mission. We could not do this without you!
