The Ice Bucket Challenge has had a significant impact in our community, allowing our Chapter to build a local infrastructure to better serve the ALS community in Tennessee. Ice Bucket Challenge funds were used to expand current services such as our equipment loan closets, communication program, respite care grants and additional care services staff to better support patient families. The Chapter also opened a multi-disciplinary clinic in the Chattanooga community with assistance from the funds. Overall, our ability to serve, advocate for and empower those affected by ALS in the state of Tennessee has been enhanced as a result of the awareness that was raised through the Ice Bucket Challenge and through financial investments to our Chapter.
Many thanks to everyone who donated to the Ice Bucket Challenge, and who continue to support our mission. We could not do this without you!
